Josh founded JLE in 2004. Since this time, he has grown the business considerably in the engineering and construction of electrical systems industry focusing on infrastructure. Josh is driven to continue the growth of engineering, underground and overhead powerline construction and industrial process control and manufacturing. Josh is passionate about JLE, and continually strives to identify opportunities that fit the profile of the business. Josh ensures that JLE Group always delivers on every commitment.
Business Manager
Rowan has been a pivotal member of the JLE management team for more than a decade. He has been actively involved in the company’s growth within his role as business manager. His role consists of leading the JLE office, tendering and managing customer contact teams. Rowan also leads, implements and audits the WHS, QA and environmental systems for the company and conducts the contractual review process for JLE contracts, ensuring that our projects meet the company’s risk profile.
Rowan has completed extensive lead auditing and contract administration training allowing JLE to be aware, and constantly in review, of the ever-changing policies and legislation that govern our industries.
Operations Manager Manufacturing
Tom Doohan is an experienced electrical engineering professional, bringing a strong background in switchboard manufacturing and power systems. As Operations Manager, Firmus, Tom leads the delivery and engineering functions across the business, overseeing estimating, project execution and a dedicated team of engineers. His practical industry experience and technical expertise ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest standard.
General Manager - Network Development and Connections
Darrin Edwards, CPEng, MIEAust, is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with more than 24 years' experience in network development, sub-transmission planning and design, major customer connections, and renewable energy integration. Having held senior technical, commercial and leadership roles with Essential Energy, Darrin has worked closely with industry stakeholders including Transgrid, AEMO and EnergyCo to deliver complex network and renewable energy projects. He brings extensive expertise in power systems, major network connections, and strategic infrastructure development, supporting clients through the rapidly evolving energy transition landscape.
Accounts Manager
Katrina brings over 20 years of business and accounts management expertise within the trade industry, including more than 9 years with JLE. As Accounts Manager, Katrina oversees the company’s debtor and creditor processes while collaborating closely with corporate banking partners and accountants. Her deep operational background ensures all financial procedures and reporting run seamlessly and according to plan.
JLE Electrical General Manager
Damien commenced his career with JLE as an apprentice. His role has grown from tradesman, trade supervisor, electrical project manager, to his most recent position, electrical manager. Damien provides a high level of support to our senior and junior project managers and ensures that our electrical team has the required resources and support needed to deliver a successful project.
Damien’s experience in the industry and his ability to understand the importance of efficient outcomes for all, assures that we create value for our clients.
Construction Manager - Electrical
Brock has been with JLE for over 10 years. During this time Brock has held roles as a tradesman, leading hand, electrical supervisor and most recently senior project manager. Brock has been hands-on with and managed multiple projects from inception, design, through to final testing and commissioning.
He understands the importance of project resource continuity to deliver a project with minimal disruptions. Brock respects our clients’ needs and always delivers what he promises.
Construction Manager - ASP
Mick is a dual-qualified electrician and linesman with over 20 years of industry experience, including more than a decade with JLE. As Construction Manager - ASP, Mick manages resources across the high voltage infrastructure business to deliver projects safely and reliably. His extensive hands-on expertise and deep understanding of regulatory standards ensure JLE maintains its strong reputation for quality execution.
JLE Design Manager
Wayne joined the JLE Engineering team in January 2019 after completing over 40 years service with Essential Energy and its predecessors.
He has spent 30 years working within the design division and the last 15 years as the 'Design Team Leader' of the Dubbo and Western Region. He has vast knowledge and experience in both overhead and underground electricity designs.
Wayne will assist JLE customers to navigate successfully through the requirements of achieving electrical connections for their proposed developments.
Manufacturing & Hire General Manager
Peter is an experienced electrical industry professional with nearly a decade of expertise across high voltage installations, shutdowns and mining projects. As Manufacturing & Hire General Manager, Peter oversees end-to-end project execution from initial design through to final handover. His extensive background in complex underground and industrial environments ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Business Manager
Jordy Dickerson is a highly capable business operations professional who provides leadership and support across JLE's Manufacturing and Hire division. Reporting to the General Manager Manufacturing and Hire, Jordy is responsible for production scheduling, resource planning, project coordination, and operational performance, ensuring business activities are aligned with project and customer requirements. With a strong focus on efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and delivery outcomes, she plays a key role in supporting the successful operation and growth of the division.
Bid & Marketing Manager
Lauren Bauer-Coates is an experienced Bid and Marketing Manager with extensive expertise in tender strategy, submissions, stakeholder engagement, and business development within the infrastructure and civil construction sectors. Lauren specialises in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, submissions for major public and private sector projects.
Workshop Supervisor
Kyle first joined our team as a mature age apprentice, coming from a background as a Mechanic/fitter in Mining. With JLE’s training and guidance, Kyle now leads our Orange workshop of skilled tradesmen and apprentices to manufacture customised key electrical assets for major mining & tunnelling clients across Australia.
Asset Manager
Peter is an adaptable, solution focused electrical professional with decades of experience across the infrastructure, civil and tunnelling sectors. Peter is a skilled electrical cost analysis and project manager with first rate communication and negotiation skills.
High Voltage Testing and Commissioning Manager
Matt brings vast electrical engineering experience to JLE Group, with almost two decades of experience in the industry. With extensive front line, project and incident management experience, Matt plays a vital role in managing on underground teams.
Garde General Manager
With 15 years in the Australian construction sector, David possesses extensive utility industry experience. His skill in cultivating business relationships, along with proficiency in site-based and senior management roles, enables him to manage Garde with the utmost professionalism. As a General Manager, he ensures effective alignment with business objectives.
Garde Interface Manager
Colin commenced with Garde in 2019 and is a capable and dynamic interface manager, with a proven track record for delivering complex projects. Over the past decade, he has managed and worked on multiple large-scale infrastructure projects in challenging urban environments.
Garde Engineering Manager
John has 39 years of experience and extensive knowledge in major infrastructure works with 15 years specific experience in electrical infrastructure projects. John oversees and manages the design elements related to high voltage and extra high voltage cable systems in Australia.
Garde Traffic Manager
Louise has been working with Garde as Traffic Manager since March 2020. Louise has gained extensive knowledge and experience from working on several major projects across Sydney over the past 5 years. Louise regularly interfaces with external stakeholders such as Traffic Management Centre, Network Operations, Network Safety Services, Greater Sydney Roads, Customer Journey Planning, Local Councils and Bus Authorities.
